There are only two from the list that appeal to me, the strength of chocolate and the loudspeakers one, but I am not sure what the variables would be for the loudspeakers experiment. Hi there, While you're waiting for an answer, did you know we have 300,000 study resources that could answer your question in TSR's Learn together section? There is a list of ideas here: I was wondering what other people have done/are doing. We have everything from Teacher Marked Essays to Mindmaps and Quizzes to help you with your work. If you're stuck on how to get started, try creating some resources. There are only two from the list that appeal to me, the strength of chocolate and the loudspeakers one, but I am not sure what the variables would be for the loudspeakers experiment. I investigated how several factors (surface area, initial displacement, mass, length of spring) affected the time period, damping and amplitude of a mass-spring oscillator. We offer 3 separate sciences within our 6th form: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

It was rather dull - all I did was watch a spring bobbing up and down - but it was really easy to get good marks because there are loads of things to investigate, lots of calculations to do, loads of graphs to draw, easy-to-find information on uncertainties etc.
Basically, if you're not too bothered about doing anything particularly exciting do that I'm not too sure what you can do to investigate the strength of chocolate - I guess you could test different brands/ types but not much else.
You can use this book as a revision guide, or as another explanation of concepts that you may not fully understand.
Before you begin this course, it is recommended that you understand some of the basic concepts covered in GCSE Science, and have an understanding of the SI unit system (Appendix A).
All three of these sciences follow the OCR exam board (org.uk) We require that students wishing to do the AS course achieve an A grade Biology GCSE or Additional Science GCSE.
You’ll study everything from basic chemical principles to organic chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and instrumental techniques for analysis.
Chemistry is the study of the elements and their compounds and brings together elements of Physics and Biology. In this unit you will learn about the basic concepts of Organic Chemistry, These will include Alkanes, Alkenes, Fuels, Alcohols and Halogenalkanes.
The basic concepts of Physical Chemistry will also be covered these will include Enthalpy changes, Reaction Rates and Chemical Equilibrium.
The assessments are as follows: The current A Level course is linear and consists of three examination papers, in addition to a practical endorsement.
All content is assessed across the three papers and practical endorsement, as opposed to being split into individual modules.
