What are some recent books that you’d like to share with our readers?

At a recent conference organized by the international research group RAPAPUK held at Queen’s College, Cambridge, I was particularly inspired by a group of young poets and critics who not only commented cogently on the state of poetry and race in Scotland, but also unveiled their exciting plans to bring this urgent conversation to Scotland, with their next event to be held at the Scottish Poetry Library later this month.
One of the best things about working in the UK literary world is certainly one’s proximity to some of our world’s best contemporary poets.
