MFA degree candidates in the Columbia University School of the Arts Visual Arts program present their thesis projects culminating two years of intensive artistic development.

The MFA Sound Arts students also present their work in this exhibition.

The Thesis Committee is comprised of two graduate faculty advisors (the student's primary graduate studio advisor and a second graduate studio advisor) and is established in the fall semester of the student's second year.

Of critical importance is the third member of the committee, who must be an arts or field-specific professional from outside SMFA at Tufts.The ICA’s schedule includes lectures, workshops, and performances by local, national, and international artists.The relation- ship between MECA and the ICA is a unique resource for students, offering insight into the practice of the professional field and firsthand experiences with visiting artists.They award a grade of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory, and each committee member provides a written evaluation.The final exhibition propels graduates into the contemporary art community and launches their professional career as artists.Participating artists: Isabella Aimone, Lee Darling, Allison Geller, Aidan Hercules, Kayleen Krystal, Amanda May, Paydeaux, and Teddy Smith Reception: Friday, May 10, 5–7 p.m.The Hollis Sigler Manifest Awards will be announced at p.m.Opening today, the exhibition is located in the Pavilion, Bruce/Floyd, Borth, & Smith Galleries and includes a Mom’s Weekend reception on Friday, April 12 from 6-8 p.m. Smith Arts Endowment Fund, and the Members of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU.All exhibitions at the museum are free and open to the public.
