The IAS entrance comprises of preliminary and main exams with general studies and aptitude as syllabus.
Qualifiers in prelims have to appear for main exams, and merit candidates will be interviewed after that for final recruitment.
If the Specialization includes a separate course for the hands-on project, you'll need to finish each of the other courses before you can start it. The first course in this specialization is a refresher on some tools needed for good writing. You will need about 10 hours to complete this first course.
