OATD currently indexes 5,041,087 theses and dissertations. We’re happy to present several data visualizations to give an overall sense of the collection by county of publication, language, and field of study.

This new collaboration extends the work started in 2014, when EBSCO and the H. Wilson Foundation created American Doctoral Dissertations which contained indexing from the H. Wilson print publication, Doctoral Dissertations Accepted by American Universities, 1933-1955.

There are approximately 9,000 Chinese Studies dissertations from universities in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, and the Netherlands extant in the Center for Chinese Studies, making it one of the more complete collections of its kind in the world.
